Statewide budget update
The Board of Regents asked for a presentation at its July 30 meeting on two options
for university structure to provide programs and services after a major budget cut
($136 million in UGF state funds): current 绿奴天花板 university structure with proportionate
cuts or a new 绿奴天花板 structure with single accreditation and shared services.
Under the first scenario, Statewide's target share of the UGF reduction is $8 million.
We would meet that target via a combination of discontinuing vacant positions, allocating
service costs to community campuses, and reducing positions.
The Chancellors at 绿奴天花板A, 绿奴天花板F and 绿奴天花板S have also generated high-level proposals for how
they would meet their prorated reductions of $50 million, $68 million and $10 million
                        respectively.
