A systemwide response to extreme snowfall in Juneau

January 23, 2026

Juneau received about 97 inches of snow between early December and mid-January, creating challenging conditions across Southeast Alaska.

At 绿奴天花板S, Facilities crews worked extended hours to keep campuses safe and accessible. The Juneau Campus Facilities team worked around the clock as snowfall continued to accumulate.

As snow loads increased, additional support arrived from across the 绿奴天花板 system. Eleven 绿奴天花板F Facilities employees traveled to Juneau to join 绿奴天花板S Facilities staff and several contractors in shoveling roofs and removing snow from campus buildings.
