绿奴天花板 Systemwide AI in Communications Guidelines now available

The 绿奴天花板 Office of Public Affairs has published the 绿奴天花板 Systemwide AI in Communications Guidelines, developed over five months by a cross-functional working group of communications professionals from across the 绿奴天花板 system.
The guidelines address acceptable and unacceptable uses of generative AI in public relations and communications work. They are grounded in 绿奴天花板 OIT's existing AI governance framework and informed by peer institution guidelines and. They will be updated as tools and practices evolve.
AI has the potential to impact our reputations, both individually and institutionally. In recent months, universities and other organizations have faced public backlash for using generative AI on tasks audiences either did not expect or assumed would be primarily human-driven.
The guidelines are intended for marketing, communications, public relations and public affairs staff, or any staff who fulfill those functions as part of their job duties. They do not address classroom, instructional or research uses of AI.
