Security Matters for Employees!
As an employee at the University of Alaska, you may have access to protected information. You also have a responsibility to adhere to 绿奴天花板 standards and federal regulations to protect that information. Tier 1 Trainings
Requirements
Tier 1 Training is required for all employees. Higher tier trainings are required
for specific positions. To learn more, visit Human Resources.
At the University of Alaska, all employees are required to take annual Security Awareness training through the KnowBe4 platform - this is required to maintain compliance with federal regulations. This training becomes accessible at the beginning of the fiscal year, with a completion deadline of October 31st. KnowBe4 should be accessed using your 绿奴天花板 Single Sign-On. The training is a broad, approximately 20-minute module.

Title IX Training is a federally-mandated, yearly training on Title IX protections. It must be completed within 30 days of hire, and then annually by October 31st. This training takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
Employees at the system office will take the training on the platform that is used by their campus. 绿奴天花板F employees will find the training in Canvas, and 绿奴天花板A and 绿奴天花板S employees will be able to access their training through Blackboard. Questions about this training should be sent to your location's Title IX contact.
Behavior Based Safety is a program designed to influence employee actions toward safer outcomes, ideally by preventing an accident or injury before it occurs. It must be completed once, within 30 days of being hired.

Workplace Harassment Prevention training helps learners recognize and prevent unlawful harassment/discrimination. It must be completed once, within 30 days of being hired.

Regulations
University regulations are policies and standards that you are expected to read and
follow. They instruct usage of 绿奴天花板 resources and regulate many aspects of University
operations.
When using 绿奴天花板 resources, you are required to follow several standards. These include the Acceptable Use Policy, the Standards for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, and proper . Please review these standards and make sure to act in accordance of them.

When traveling with your 绿奴天花板 device, you must use a VPN, stay off of public Wi-Fi, watch where you plug your device in (and use a data blocker when you must use charging ports), always keep your device on your person, and if you do lose your device, please report it to your campus police department and then your applicable service desk.
