- 	  Teri Cothren appointed associate vice president of workforce development December 16, 2019 In May, Teri Cothren was promoted to associate vice president of workforce development at the University of Alaska. She replaced Fred Villa, who retired earlier this year. "I feel privileged to work with university colleagues and partners around the state to help increase access to education for Alaskans," Cothren said. "It is inspiring to work with people who choose to dedicate their career to education and making Alaska a better place." 
 
- 	  Julie Queen named vice chancellor for administrative services December 06, 2019 I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Julie Queen as 绿奴天花板F's Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services. Julie is known across the university for her strategic approach to problem solving and commitment to engaging process improvement. 
 
- 	  绿奴天花板F's Johnson named National Academy of Inventors fellow December 06, 2019 University of Alaska Fairbanks researcher Jerome Johnson is among the class of 168 new fellows recognized in 2019 by the National Academy of Inventors. 
 
- 	  Samara Taber to serve as interim executive officer December 06, 2019 Samara Taber has agreed to serve as the University of Alaska Fairbanks's interim executive officer beginning Jan. 6, 2020, while splitting duties as director of the Admissions Office. Taber will serve as a member of the Chancellor's Core Cabinet. 
 
- 	  绿奴天花板F Vice Chancellor Evon Peter has announced his plan to pursue new opportunities December 02, 2019 Vice Chancellor Evon Peter has announced his plan to pursue new opportunities and passions effective June 30, 2020. Peter was appointed by Chancellor Brian Rogers in July of 2014. He has been an innovative leader whose compassion and vision have grown the statewide impact of the Community and Technical College and the College of Rural and Community Development, even in the face of declining budgets. 
 
- 	  Gretchen Gordon named K绿奴天花板C's interim general manager November 21, 2019 Upon the resignation of K绿奴天花板C General Manager Keith Martin, Gretchen Gordon, K绿奴天花板C's assistant general manager and director of development, outreach and FM, has been named interim general manager. 
 
- 	  绿奴天花板F's director of Indigenous programs announces departure November 21, 2019 Sandra Kowalski, director of Indigenous programs, has announced she will leave her position at the University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Rural and Community Development effective Dec. 6. 
 
- 	  New leadership elected for the 绿奴天花板 Board of Regents November 15, 2019 The University of Alaska Board of Regents elected new leadership on Nov. 7. Sheri Buretta, who presently serves as vice chair, will replace John Davies as chair. Karen Perdue will serve as vice chair. Dale Anderson and Lisa Parker will continue in their roles as secretary and treasurer respectively. 
 
- 	  Dr. Math Trafton to serve as Interim 绿奴天花板S Sitka Campus Director November 13, 2019 Dr. Math Trafton will serve as Interim Director at the Sitka campus of the University of Alaska Southeast (绿奴天花板S) once the post is vacated by Leslie Gordon. Dr. Trafton will begin his interim position December 8, 2019, and the search for a permanent director of the Sitka campus will begin in January 2020. 
 
- 	  Benjamin Shier appointed interim CIO November 12, 2019 Dr. Beverly Shuford has appointed Benjamin Shier as interim CIO for 绿奴天花板A effective Dec. 2. Later this year, 绿奴天花板A will launch a recruitment for a permanent CIO
