- 	  Alaska Coastal Rainforest Center (绿奴天花板S) researcher John Harley receives grant from NIH, NSF December 20, 2024 ACRC researcher John Harley and the Sitka Tribe of Alaska have received a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) to investigate how changing climate conditions may impact the safety of subsistence shellfish harvesting in coastal Alaska. 
 
- 	  December 06, 2024 The VP/CAO serves as a member of the 绿奴天花板 president's executive team, providing academic leadership and strategic guidance to the President, Board of Regents, and 绿奴天花板 system. His first day will be Monday, February 3, 2025. 
 
- 	  2024 EPSCoR Interface of Change Seed Awardees November 15, 2024 We awarded our first year of Interface of Change seed awards! Interface of Change seed awards provide opportunities to develop new questions and ideas that arise from community discussion and incorporate them into the Interface of Change project as seed award projects. 
 
- 	  Nominations Open for University of Alaska Foundation Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence November 14, 2024 Any student, faculty, alumni, staff or volunteer who has made a significant contribution to further the university's mission of inspiring learning, and advancing and disseminating knowledge through teaching, research, and public service is eligible. The prize includes a $20,000 award. 
 
- 	  Tracy Smith announced as the new Executive Director of ADAC-ARCTIC at 绿奴天花板A November 14, 2024 With a diverse background and a dedicated career within the federal family, she's ready to lead 绿奴天花板A's efforts in advancing Arctic research initiatives and resilience efforts in the Center. 
 
- 	  Professor Ronald Spatz to receive Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts November 14, 2024 Professor Ronald Spatz, a long-serving faculty member, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts at the 2024 Governor's Arts and Humanities Awards ceremony, Oct. 29 in Anchorage. 
 
- 	  Vice President & Chief Academic Affairs finalists named October 18, 2024 The search committee has recommended three finalists to President Pitney for a successor for Vice President Paul Layer, who plans to retire after a 35-year career at 绿奴天花板F and 绿奴天花板. The finalists will visit Fairbanks later this month and the finalists' dialogs with governance liaisons will be available as Zoom webinars for faculty, staff and students.

- 	  Dr. Courtney Carothers of 绿奴天花板F receives Emmeline Moore Prize October 18, 2024 Courtney Carothers, Ph.D. of the University of Alaska Fairbanks received the Emmeline Moore Prize at the American Fisheries Society (AFS) 154th Annual Meeting in Honolulu, Hawai'i. 
 
- 	  绿奴天花板F Career Services director appointed October 04, 2024 April Jaillet has been appointed the new director of 绿奴天花板F Career Services, beginning Sept. 22. Jaillet holds two degrees from 绿奴天花板F (BM 2009, MA 2011).
